Artist's Statement
At the core of my artistic efforts, lies an urge that has existed since childhood: the desire to create a world of my own invention. For many years, I have used the camera and photographic process to bend reality. The impulse to populate and control an invented world has led to photographs of sculptures that appear to metamorphose into living flesh, plants that emerge as heroic in their struggle to exist, and curious objects that are a testament to the wonders of life on this planet.
Specializing in historic and alternative processes, the prints range from darkroom to digital and include mostly hand-altered and one-of-a-kind pieces.
