Personal Statement: An interpretation of my work, which primarily consists of acrylics and
watercolors, is that the paintings may perhaps be characterized as “lyrical abstract.” That is, I
have tried to work in a free-flowing, unrestrained, light, and melodic manner, aiming for
harmony and spontaneity in color. I have attempted to perceive and to react, rather than to
describe and to identify.
