Leif Skoogfors is a photojournalist who has documented social, political, military, and disaster events for many of the world's top publications including TIME Magazine, Newsweek, Paris Match, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and more. He has done numerous assignment for the U.S. Government and the U.S. Army. An Army veteran, he enjoyed a close working relationship while documenting activities of the U.S.Special Operations Command from which he received a commendation for his work in Bosnia. His work has been exhibited widely and is in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum of Modern Art, the George Eastman House, the Philadelphia Museum of Art,  the Corcoran Gallery, and other institutions. His archive will be housed at the Dolph Briscoe Center for American History at the University of Texas at Austin.
