Artist's Statement:
Never accepting or rejecting a commitment to establish stylistic or technical systems as my objective, I am searching for the elusive solutions to a given problem, a singularly unique symbol – invention standing as a representation of an unknown yet familiar entity. A discovery of such a new vision, then, may qualify as a source of a great satisfaction. While based in a set of traditions, both centuries old and contemporary, and also steeped in that mysterious spirit of Russian Icons, and still not comprehending it all, I have to believe that artistic perfection is always a mystery. A mystery that occasionally appears as a soaring manifestation, an inspiration toward a world never seen before.
